The Heart of a Storyteller

I love books deeply and have written for over 20 years. I love my family with my entire being and paused my writing career to ensure their success and wellbeing. I am passionate about writing and creating. These passions intertwine to create a fulfilling life, where each activity enriches the others. Whether it's finding inspiration in literature, cherishing moments with loved ones, experimenting with new recipes, or expressing myself through writing, I find joy and purpose in every aspect.

Born in Columbia, Mississippi in 1970, my family moved to California. One day, my mom shared a story with me about wanting to live in a certain city but being denied the opportunity. Moving from 118th and Central Ave., in South Central Los Angeles to Compton, CA on Kay Street across from Lueders Park. Little did she know that she was being profiled. Witnessing my family's struggles and the challenges they faced, books became a sanctuary where I could explore worlds beyond my immediate reality. The stories offered solace and understanding, allowing me to process complex emotions and situations.

A Business Administration/Psychology degree holder, I have always been fascinated by human behavior and the underlying motivations that drive our actions. It allows me to explore and convey the complexities of human behavior, drawing from both personal experiences and psychological insights.

In addition to creating and writing my debut novel, Red Line District, I've also created and wrote the adaptation of the forthcoming episodic series, based on my novel. My hope is that both projects will inspire others to think more critically about the world around them while creating meaningful change.
