Meet Charlotte Swann
I didn't set out to write comfortable stories.
I write about the conversations families avoid, the relationships that fracture quietly, and the invisible lines that shape our lives long before we recognize them.
Hidden District is where those questions finally have room to breathe.
The Stories I Tell
I didn't learn storytelling in a classroom, I learned it from real life. In rooms where people said one thing... and meant something else. In conversations where silence carried more weight than words.
In relationships that looked whole on the outside... but weren't.
I spent years watching how people move, what they hide, what they protect, and what they'll do to avoid truth.
That's what I write from, not imagination, recognition.
I've seen how systems operate, how power shifts, how decisions get made behind closed doors.
And I've learned that what's said publicly... is rarely the full story.
That's where my stories live.
The Floppy Disk
The Soil
20 Years Waiting
The pages of Hidden District lived on a 3.5 inch floppy disk long before cloud storage existed.
Some stories don't disappear.
They wait until you're finally ready to tell them.

Where It All Begin
Hidden District wasn't born from imagination alone.
It grew from conversations with my mother, a move across invisible lines, and the question that never stopped following me:
Why here... and not there?

The Weight
Why I Returned

The Story Behind the Story
Writing stopped being a hobby.
It became how I survive grief.
Love didn't end, it changed what I needed to write.
Hidden District wasn't simply written.
It helped rebuild me.

Why I Write
I am an author not because I chose this path... but because I survived long enough to return to it. Hidden District is proof that some dreams don't expire.
If yours has been waiting in a drawer, on a hard drive, or inside a someday folder...
I see you.
It is never too late to begin again.
